GUESTHOUSE NINA

Your Mediterranean Home Far From Home
Located in the authentic coastal town Kaštel Novi
in Dalmatia, you’ll find the beautiful 500 year-old
stone house NINA.
ABOUT

THE STONE HOUSE

This traditional stone house was newly renovated with careful craftsmanship and love to details. Inspired by nature’s colours and shapes is it a perfect fit for our Mediterranean surrounding.
While the original form and partition have been sustained, it’s comfort of living has been immensely elevated.

Your kitchen and dining area are located on the ground floor, as well as a shower and restroom. If additional beds are required, you’ll find a comfortable sofa where up to 2 people could sleep. An outside stone stairwell leads you to the 1st and 2nd floor. Located on each floor is one bedroom for 2-3 people as well as a bathroom with showers. Wooden stairs continue to lead you up to the roof terrace. Safe from any sight of surrounding neighbours you could enjoy a beautiful view, a sunbath, have a barbecue or use a brand-new solar shower in peace.

Thick stonewalls, especially on the ground floor, provide pleasant temperatures in summer and keep you warm in winter. Because of this well balanced indoor climate – no air conditioner is required. A special atmosphere in our rooms has been created through traditional shutters which play naturally with light and shade.

KAŠTELA NOVI

Kaštel Novi is one of seven districts of a town called Kaštela. It is directly on the coast of Middle Dalmatia situated between the cities Split and Trogir.
These seven Kaštela districts had developed between the 15th and 16th century around 13 local castles which served as defence against Turkish invaders at that time.
Behind those coastal villages of Kaštela extends an agricultural region with olive- and vineyards wide up to the Kozjak-Mountains.
Outside of high season Kaštel Novi is a quiet, relaxing place that still gives the impression of an original, authentic Dalmatia.
Best known landmark of the city with approximately 6000 residents is an enormous Ćipiko-Stonetower from the Renaissance.
